[Memories of Seoul] 'Korean People'
I can say all Korean people I have met in this trip were so nice!
When I asked for any helps such as directions or information, they willingly told me.
Some might can't speak English much but they asked me to follow them until we found the places. If they didn't know where it is, they asked the others for me.
I have an unforgettable story about Korean people ...
On my 6th day, I had an appointment with my Korean friend which I have just known her on the first day. And you can guess it! I was lost in Hongik subway station because I was confused the Korail line to airport which also pass my destination and the normal line. I chatted with my friend via Kakao Talk which one I should take. Then she kindly asked me just to sit there and waited for her ! She had to take a train about 30 mins to my station and then back again 30 mins just to give me a present (very valuable to me though) which she didn't need to do if she didn't want. It's her pleasure.
Another story is about my aunts' adventure.
(More exciting than my story :P)
On that day, we decided to split into 2 groups to go shopping in the evening at Myeong-dong which is about 1 station from our hotel.
I thought they wouldn't get lost but I was wrong.
I and my mother went back to the hotel first. We were waiting about 3 hours or so until they came back. We were very worry. T_T We didn't know how to contact them since we all had no Korean number. Only thing we could do was waiting.
Then when they were back ... this was the adventure story of my aunts.
They finished shopping at Myeong-dong and suddenly couldn't remember the name of subway station which our hotel located because they don't be familiar with Korean name.
(Next time I definitely write the hotel and subway station's names for them. I was sorry. T_T)
They decided to walk back ... yeah! ... walk since they recalled that I said our hotel was quite near Meong-dong (if we walk in the right directions.)
No doubt, they got lost!
Eventually, they found themselves near N Seoul Tower!
Here our hero came!!!!
He came from nowhere and asked my aunts where they wanted to go and they told the hotel name. He had tried to search by his phone and the result was not found.
He told my aunts to follow him though he also didn't know where it is.
He helped asking many people around there and no one knew this hotel. :(
Then my aunt found her withdrawal slip which she got from ATM near the hotel that morning. He went to the convenient store and asked for telephone number of this bank branch and called to get information about the location.
Then he called to the hotel.
After that they followed him and took subway train to come back.
He also came with!
he still asked my aunt whether they were sure this is the right place. How nice he was!
