Well, recently me and my wife had a chance to stay at Lotte City Hotel in Myeongdong.
As we live in Seoul and visited Myeongdong area a lot we purely concentrated on the hotel and our feelings about it.
We had a package costing 170.000KRW.
-one night stay
-breakfast for two
-set of cosmetics (we estimated worth around 70.000KRW)
As it was a package check in time started at 3pm and we had to live at 12 the next day, basically getting 21 hours of hotel stay at maximum.
About the room, it didn't seem huge but was very very cozy, fitted with a big TV, comfortable Queen size bed, fridge and tea/coffee set. Of course the wi fi was free (probably in most places in Korea).
The view was simply amazing, although surrounded by other building we could still enjoy the view.
The bathroom was a big surprise, finally I found a bathtub I could actually spread my legs!!! Big plus. The towels... hm... there were 6 of them in the bathroom, great. But, You could feel they were bleached.
We quickly visited the gym as well, it was nice, quiet, all the running machines had a build in TV.
And finally our breakfast.
The workers in the restaurant, super nice. Fully professional and friendly at the same time.
We got served freshly made scrambled eggs (yummy), the rest of the food was mediocre, but eatable. Something just to stuff your belly before leaving.
Would I come back there again?
Honestly I didn't feel that relaxed in a long time.
I felt completely separated from the outside world.
Although the location of the hotel is not a dream one for a tourist, I think its really worth to stay there.
